Welcome to the Young Peoples Support Service in Cumbria (YPSSiC)!!
YPSSIC is a service for young people aged 12 – 16 that offers a safe space where you can talk to someone about any unwanted sexual experiences you may have encountered. We are part of the service provided by West Cumbria Rape Crisis, offering support to both young men and women living in the areas of Allerdale, Copeland, Carlisle and Eden in Cumbria.
By getting in touch with us, you will be able to access all kinds of help, from a friendly voice at the end of the telephone to a face-to-face meeting with one of our volunteers. How you contact us, and the level of support you get is up to you, we never force you to do something you don’t want to do.
We are not here to judge, we are here to help. You may feel alone and that some how this is your fault. You are not alone and it most defiantly is not your fault.
By visiting this site you have taken the first step to getting help. We offer a wide range of information and advice about rape, sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse.
Here at the Young Peoples Support Service in Cumbria we want to let you know there is help and support available to you.
Remember you are not alone. Please contact us. We can help!
